Underemphasis of Facebook Marketing

If you have your own website or need to find contacts to sell your services/products, Facebook is the best service out there, and it's free. For the internet marketer, Facebook provides more personal contact for the viewer than a Twitter account does. By joining groups and interacting with these groups you will automatically grow your friends list in a way that has to do with your company. If you are posting relevent items to groups in your field, people will take you more seriously and realize that you know what you are talking about. This turns into sales in the future. When people need what you are trying to sell they will remember you more if they have had personal contact with you in the past and you gave them valid information that was generally helpful to them.

Don't get me wrong every so often you should post status updates and links about your business but you should also post things that make people realize you are a human being also. If all you do is try to make people buy your product you are not going to get any valid contacts and people will stop being your friend.

Making Money From Twitter

The most common question I get about Twitter: Is how can I make money on Twitter? There are many different systems that claim you can make thousands of dollars on Twitter in just days. In all of the systems that I have looked at there is no system that can claim this and follow through with it. There are a few sites however that will allow you to make some money, depending on the number of followers you have. One of the links I have just added to my links section is http://revtwt.com/index.php?id=29263 . This site will pay you for everytime you post an ad on your twitter account and someone clicks on it. It is only a few cents per click but if you have thousands of followers you can make some extra cash for yourself. There are other ways that I will talk about in the future.

Tip One: Don't Oversell

When you create a social marketing profile (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), the profile needs to be personal. It needs to look and act like there is a real person behind the computer. If all you are doing is trying to sell the entire time people will think of you more as spam than as a reliable source. Use reliable and accurate information in your profiles. A few times a week you can post links to your websites or try to sell something, but if you do it all the time everyday then people are going to stop paying attention to your profile. You do not want to be considered as a spammer by the people you are trying to sell to. Make your status updates have something to do with your life like current things that have happened to you, people you have met, the type of day you have had, your business work, even mundane things like the weather or what you had for dinner (be advised one of these every once in a while is fine, but don't be the person that does it with everything they do all the time).

The more of a general base of people you add the more people will respect you and believe you know what you are talking about so the more they will want to buy your product without you having to sell, sell, sell to them.

Created New Blog for Tips

I have just created this blog to add tips and tricks for all of my fans about how to manage and grow their social networks. I have already added some completely free twitter tools that I use everyday to grow my twitter account. Social Oomph is probably one of the most useful tools that I have used. When you set it up it can automatically send a message to everyone that follows you, among other things like following everyone that follows you. Have a message sent to everyone that follows you can really get your website out their and make it so you generate more and more traffic to it each week.
